Orientation & Tour Info

During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to see the club facilities and have any questions you may have answered. You'll also get a better understanding of what to expect during your visit.

You will need to complete paperwork at the office before being allowed on the grounds including reviewing and signing our Standards of Conduct. Please remember to bring the following on your visit.

  • A State or Federal ID
  • A towel (Nudist etiquette requires you to carry your own towel for sitting or lounging)
  • Sunscreen

During the orientation & tour, visitors may remain clothed, but plan to go nude during your visit. Nudity is mandatory in the pool, hot tub, and sauna. At Mountain Air Ranch, guests are expected to be "clothed when practical, nude when appropriate." First-time visitors are encouraged to disrobe slowly as they become comfortable in the nude environment.

Conduct yourself in a manner that would be considered acceptable at any other public social gathering. Remember, nudity does not have any particular sexual connotation, and visitors and members are expected to respect the individuality and freedom of others.

Do you live close to MAR? You're first visit could be free!

New visitors who live within 90 miles of Mountain Air Ranch get their first visit free.

What should I bring up to MAR?

We recommend the following:

  • A light travel bag containing two towels per person
  • Bring specific toiletries that you might need or want
  • Bring a cover-up for chilly days/nights or when you've had too much sun
  • Sunscreen, the altitude of Mountain Air Ranch is 7000 feet, and the atmosphere is thinner. Apply sunscreen liberally and often, especially to those areas that don't see the sun as often. Tan lines are no fun but sunburns are even worse 😉.
  • Bring  athletic equipment, and shoes you might need for your planned activities.

Polite nudist etiquette means that you always carry your own towel on which to sit or lounge. You should bring a second towel to dry off at the pool, hot tub, sauna, or shower. Many wear sandals around the pool and then change to the more appropriate footwear for hiking or activities on the various types of courts.

Dining and Food options at Mountain Air Ranch.

MAR has a cafe that is open seasonally, May through September. It operates on limited hours serving Dinner Friday through lunch Sunday. We also have a seasonal ice cream shop open Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The cafe and ice cream shop are cash only.

Consider bringing your own food and drink for when the cafe is not available. The Community Kitchen has a full suite of kitchen gear and appliances and three refrigerators for storing your food. Label your items with your name and date of departure and please keep the Community Kitchen clean.

Alcohol is not sold on MAR grounds but you are welcome to BYOB, please drink responsibly.
